Hi! I´m Lina, a crochet lover from Norway<3
For as long as I can remember I´ve loved being creative. From a young age, my mum taught me how to knit and sew, and we would make clothes for my dolls. Perhaps that’s when my addiction to cute and fun projects began, and when I discovered crochet there was no turning back:)
During the summer of 2020 I randomly created an Instagram account to sell personalized embroidery tote bags. I made them with flowers, butterflies and tiny bees, and had so much fun sharing my projects.
Later the same year I discovered crochet. With a lot of YouTube tutorials and help from my mum I made my first crochet vest, and from that moment I was hooked!
The first crochet design I shared on my Instagram was a wine bag. I remember I started making them in the spring, and that summer I spent all my time crocheting to meet the amount of orders.
For a young girl from Norway, I remember it felt huge when I got to send my hand made crochet bags to people all over Europe, and even all the way to New Zealand.
The next year I released a summer collection with three bags and a bucket hat. I set up a cute little office space, and spent most of my summer vacation in there making all the orders. Luckily this was the peek time of BeReal, so I have a few memories from this time. Safe to say almost all my BeReals looked the same that summer:)
I remember I did my first photoshoot for my crochet designs that summer, with my sister and her friend, and it felt so professional even though it was just us three taking photos at the beach.
After a while of selling finished crochet products, I got questions about the patterns. At the time my only notes was the number of stitches and rows written down on post-it notes, so from there on began my journey of writing patterns for my crochet designs.
Now, when I make a new pattern I always think back to the version of myself that spent hours on YouTube trying to figure out how to make a simple vest, and I write the patterns with easy and detailed descriptions that would have helped me learn how to crochet back then.
Years later I have released multiple patterns, and I love seeing all of you make your own versions of the designs. I could never have imagined that this hobby would lead me to where I am today, and I have loved every step of the journey.
I am so grateful for everyone who support my small business and use my patterns. I hope I can inspire you to either start your first crochet project, or find something new to make for your collection<3
